LINCO Frozen Food

Client & Product Overview:

Linco Patisero is a brand owned by Orkla Foods Romania, widely recognized for its frozen pastry products that preserve the authentic Romanian taste. As part of this project, Crescento collaborated on the development of the packaging for their signature tray-baked pie — an iconic product known for its quality and flavor.

Client Needs:

Linco needed a packaging solution that addressed both protection and cooking functionality for its frozen pastries. The main challenge was eliminating the need for traditional aluminum or metal trays, which are often inconvenient for the end consumer. The goal was to design a box that could withstand extreme temperatures, allowing freezing, defrosting, and baking directly in the packaging — without needing to transfer the product into another dish. The solution involved a heat-resistant board specifically developed for dough-based products, capable of withstanding temperatures of up to 200°C for two hours. This packaging not only protects and enhances shelf appeal but also becomes part of the cooking experience, offering convenience, sustainability, and efficiency for both producer and end user.

Printing & Packaging Services Provided:

We used a specially treated board designed for resistance in cold and humid environments, certified for food contact and stable performance at freezing temperatures. This material is ideal for dough-based goods and endures successive cycles of freezing, thawing, and conventional baking. It effectively replaces traditional metal trays and eliminates the need for additional washing or cookware.

High-resolution offset printing enabled accurate reproduction of the Linco brand colors and a mouthwatering product image on the packaging front. Production was carried out in controlled environments, with precise die-cutting, automatic folding, and hygienic gluing, ensuring a solid and easy-to-handle final product.

Final Packaging:

The final box is robust, shelf-ready, and resistant to freezing temperatures, maintaining product shape and seal integrity during transport and handling. The heat-resistant board endures baking temperatures of up to 200°C for two hours, allowing the product to be baked directly in the packaging — a solution that offers convenience and functionality for both producers and consumers.
