A New Production Hall in Miroslava Industrial Park: Investment by a Local Company

One of the largest local producers of cardboard and paper packaging will build a production hall in the Miroslava industrial park. According to information from APIX.ro, the investment amounts to 2.7 million lei. Last year, Crescento Packaging SRL, the initiator of the investment, recorded a turnover of over 37 million lei, with profit exceeding one million lei.

The project is currently in the stage of obtaining the necessary permits. The new production hall will complement the company’s existing activities in the industrial park. In 2018, Crescento leased a plot of nearly 6,000 sqm from Miroslava City Hall. Crescento manufactures three main categories of products: cups, plates, and boxes, all made from cardboard.

The production hall is being built to meet the growing market demand

“The beneficiary is the largest producer of cardboard and paper packaging in the Iași metropolitan area. Considering the development trends and the high demand for this type of packaging (cardboard food boxes or paper cups), the beneficiary intends to build the production hall to meet the ever-increasing needs of the food service sector,” states the urban planning documentation of the project, as consulted by APIX.ro.

The building will have a floor area of about 3,000 sqm, single-story. “On the 5,747 sqm plot, there is currently a temporary structure, namely an industrial tent of 240 sqm, which will be dismantled,” the project also specifies.

The Miroslava Industrial Parks I and II (next to Phinia and, respectively, Antibiotice) are the only functional industrial parks in Iași County, even though the County Council has been promising for over four years the development of similar parks – the most “advanced” being the one in Lețcani, which is supposed to be inaugurated this year after repeated delays, a project initiated nearly 15 years ago at the County Council level.
